Tool Time: A Repair Fair Workshop

Tool Time: A Repair Fair Workshop

Get ready for spring yard work with a perfectly sharp set of tools and tips for removing honeysuckle and planting trees. Lynn Sullivan, our master tool sharpener will show you how to keep your tools sharp, well-maintained, and ready to work.

RSVP for one of Lynn’s workshops at 1:00pm, 2:00pm, or 3:00pm to learn how to sharpen your tools. Stay after your workshop or come before to learn how to keep your yard wildlife friendly. We’ll learn different ways to remove honeysuckle and end by planting native trees. At the end you’ll have fresh tools, new knowledge and a young tree to take to plant at home.

You may bring pruning shears, or any other hand tools (not motorized and can easily fit in a pocket) from home to be sharpened during the demonstration.

Once upon a time there was a magical store called Smith & Hawken. Although I was the furniture manager, in the almost 15 years of working there, I learned everything from orchid and plant care to tool sharpening and maintenance. As my oldest grew and started a landscaping company, I taught him to care for his tools. Now it is your turn to learn.
