The #1 goal of our Branching Out program is to give schools the tools to help give their students regular enriching experiences outside. We understand that all schools are different which is why we offer a variety of programs.

The program we have been offering for the longest is our afterschool programs, taking kids outside at their schools to explore the nature they see everyday.  We currently offer this program at Oyler Academy, Roberts Academy, and Sayler Park School.

For our Traveling Naturalist program an Imago educator comes to the school to lead classrooms in outdoor exploration at the school site. Traveling Naturalist programs are designed to be hands-on explorations of classroom curriculum. This year we are bringing our Traveling Naturalist lessons to Dater Montessori, Gamble Montessori, Norwood Montessori, and North Avondal Montessori.

Our Outdoor Education program at Pleasant Ridge Montessori is our most robust in-school program. Students Kindergarten to 6th grade come out to their school’s outdoor classroom for hands on learning experiences. Kindergarten through third grade participate in weekly outdoor education lessons while fourth through sixth grade participate in biweekly outdoor education lessons.

Finally, on our website we offer free outdoor lesson plans for teachers to use with their classrooms because we know that the most sustainable way to get kids outside is to give teachers the tools to do it themselves.
