About Imago
Started in 1978 by two social workers, Imago is an ecological education organization that is rooted in the concept that living in harmony with the natural world is not only good for the planet, but good for ourselves, our families and our communities. Through our preservation of urban nature, our hands-on green workshops, and our education programs for youth, Imago is fostering an exciting, sustainable future that benefits us all.
Youth Education
Imago has been offering youth education experiences for over 20 years. In that time Imago has served tens of thousands of young people and has led countless hours of outdoor exploration.
Nature Preservation
Imago protects 37 acres. Our belief is that nature should be a part of everyone’s lives. Our free nature preserve is a reflection of that commitment to make nature accessible to everyone.
Sustainability
Imago presents sustainability focused events and workshops throughout the year. We also offer a library of things for the community to borrow to foster sustainability and access to outdoor equipment for all.
