This winter, Imago has been focusing on the theme of curbing consumerism. We’ve shared info about the effects of rampant consumerism and provided some possible solutions to help us learn how to consume less (you can check all that out on our Curbing Consumerism homepage). As a culminating even for this Curbing Consumerism theme, Imago will be hosting a Repair Fair!

On Saturday, February 29 from 9am-noon, bring your broken household items to Imago and one of our volunteer “fixers” will help you repair them. We can’t guarantee that everything will be repaired as we might not have to proper skills or parts necessary for every item, but we will try our best to get your item in working order again.

This is the first event of this nature that Imago will be hosting and if all goes well we’d definitely be interested in planning similar events in the future.

In the spirit of sharing, we’re hoping our fixers will be able to pass some repair skills on to attendees in addition to helping them fix their broken items.

Learn more and register your item(s) in need of fixing on the Repair Fair event page.

Planning on attending the Repair Fair? You can find more info and register your item(s) in need of fixing on the Repair Fair event page.
