Let’s explore the outdoors with our senses! Students will use their eyes, noses, fingers, ears and … even tongues to explore the world outside.

Worm Bins

Learn all about worms and how worms are critical for creating healthy soil. Students will have an opportunity to observe worms up close and learn how a worm bin can be a small indoor compost bin.

Insects and Invertebrates

Explore outdoors to look for our invertebrate neighbors. Students will learn to identify basic invertebrates and learn about what makes an insect an insect through the classic “Head, Thorax, Abdomen” song.

Vegetable Gardening

Let’s sexplore a vegetable garden! This specially designed program uses your school garden or helps you create a growing space for your classroom.

Bird Watching

This is a classic nature exploration. Students will learn about birds commonly found in our area and then head outside to look and listen and count bird neighbors.
Land Art

Land Art

Students will learn about different cultures and artists that use nature as art, and then students will use natural materials to design beautiful pieces that will live on the school’s campus.

Journaling and Observation

This series teaches students about the importance of careful observation in noticing and studying nature. Students will learn how to bring their observations to life with drawings and writings in their very own nature journal.
