Plant Anatomy: Seeds and Flowers

A more in-depth lesson on plant anatomy with an emphasis on flowers and seeds. Students will dissect flowers to learn the basic flower parts while also playing games about pollinators and pollination.

Plant Anatomy Basic

This lesson is great if you’re looking for an overview of plant parts. We’ll Build a Tree while we learn the role of each of the plant parts. Then we’ll look for examples of Leaves, Flowers, Stems, and Roots in the plants around us.

Bird Watching

This is a classic nature exploration. Students will learn about birds commonly found in our area and then head outside to look and listen and count bird neighbors.

Journaling and Observation

This series teaches students about the importance of careful observation in noticing and studying nature. Students will learn how to bring their observations to life with drawings and writings in their very own nature journal.
Land Art

Land Art

Students will learn about different cultures and artists that use nature as art, and then students will use natural materials to design beautiful pieces that will live on the school’s campus.
