Introducing Imago’s Backyard Adventures

Backyard Adventures take the many components that make camp special and brings them to your yard!

Backyard Adventures will be week long experiences that campers do WITH Imago but at home.  These Adventures will get campers to really explore and know their yards and nearby natural areas. The Backyard Adventures will still feature the exploration, guidance, community and fun that make Imago camps special.

Wait, so do parents have to do all the work?

Adventures are designed to be simple enough that our adventurers can do most activities on their own or with minimal support.

Also our leaders will be available at any time during the session for questions and help.

What's Included in the Materials Box?

The Materials Box will include everything that the Adventurer will need to complete the activities with the exception of basic at home supplies (e.g. paper, pencils).

The box will also have special materials such as field guides, terrariums, and more that the Adventurer can use to continue their explorations all summer long!

Are the Video Meetings Mandatory?

We think that having us all together a few times a day helps to build that camaraderie that makes camp special. That said, we know that sometimes devices are not available, or your Adventurer would rather be out… adventuring.

We’ll record the meetings and make them available in case your Adventurer wants to watch them later.

How will the Adventures be Hosted?

Adventurers will interact with us and other campers through two simple ways. All of the Adventure information, activities, and places for submission will take place in an Online “Classroom”. Video meetings will take place on Zoom.
