Fire Building

Interested in what kind of Dorito burns the longest? Want to find out the best shape to use when prepping a fire? Bring your family to Imago to learn the basics of fire building and spend a fun afternoon making your very own fire starters, building fires, and roasting smores! An Imago naturalist will lead you and your family through a personalized course that will teach you everything you need to know about fire building.

Natural History

Want to become a well-rounded nature detective? Spend the afternoon at Imago learning how to identify common trees, plants, and animals in Ohio. We will spend the day hiking through Imago’s beautiful nature preserve learning the ins and outs of plant, tree, and wildlife identification. You and your family will have the opportunity to learn how to use fun useful identification tools such as binoculars, field guides, and more! The afternoon can be customized to focus on what interests you most- and by the time you leave, you’ll be an identification expert.

Shelter Building

Come spend a day in the wilds of Imago learning how to construct survival shelters worthy of an overnight stay! Learn about the importance of shelter in a wilderness survival situation and enjoy creating your very own shelters. Have fun using tools like loppers and rope to create photo-worthy shelters and fun, long-lasting family memories.
