Imago Amigos: Recycled Weaving
Gather with friends to transform trash to contemporary art! In our every day we are inundated with materials that can not be traditionally recycled, i.e plastic bags, straws, wrappers, etc. In this workshop we will explore the possibilities of these materials through weaving. In this informal mini-workshop we will create our own upcycled woven works and spend time in community. So bring a friend and some of your own plastic treasures!
Abby Schnure is a conceptual weaver, facilitator and community arts organizer living in Cincinnati, OH. Check out Abby’s awesome work here.
Imago Amigos events highlight a particular sustainability topic/concept in a fun and laid back setting. Learn how to live more sustainably while meeting new friends and relaxing at Imago (we’re fun, I swear!!!). Oh, and you can enjoy the sights and sounds of our 16-acre nature preserve while you’re at it! We’ll provide the meal and mini-program, you’ll provide the beverages and the fun conversations!
We’d love to see some new faces at Imago, so grab your friends and join us for some Thursday night fun!
Meal (provided) will begin at 6:30, weaving fun begins promptly at 7:15.
