Imago is searching for artists in our community to install semi-permanent pieces of artwork on our trails. This effort is part of our Art in Nature project, to install 6-8 pieces of artwork as ‘invitations’ to our community to come to Imago, experience great artwork, and connect with nature.

The pieces will reflect Imago’s values of community, nature and sustainability. Artists will be asked to make the artwork from natural or recycled (upcycled) materials.

Imago is excited to have started with one piece already, Transitions, made by our friends Amy Tuttle and Emily Farison. Imago invites visitors to check out our first piece, prominently featured on our entrance path.

Artists who have questions or who have ideas should check out the Call to Artists information. Here you’ll find details on the process, how artwork is selected, honoraria, and how to apply. We also invite interested artists to simply reach out to us to share ideas. We know that ideas are sometimes best hashed out together before a solid proposal is created. Artists are also welcome to schedule a time to tour the site and see where a piece might go.

Please note that submissions for a Spring Installation are due 1/8/2021
