Imago has started a new “Outdoor Explorers” afterschool club at Oyler Elementary in Lower Price Hill. Each week an Imago educator leads our Outdoor Explorers for a romp to nearby Sassafras Garden where the students explore, garden, make art, and learn.
This is Imago’s third afterschool program (we also have afterschool clubs at Academy of World Languages and with the International Welcome Center). Each of our clubs is designed to provide our young participants with the many benefits that regular time in nature afford. By exploring nature and gardens that are near the club we ensure that our explorers have regular time outside building the nature connections that are close to home and easily accessible. Science tells us that these nature connections will make them happier, healthier and better students.
